Training Options

One Day Foundation ( 6 hours)

Aimed at low risk service settings: Mainstream Secondary, Primary Schools, Nurseries, Children's Hospitals, Adults with low level Challenging Behaviour support needs, Elderly Care etc..

This course covers: personal safety, team building, non verbal and verbal de-escalation communication strategies, some positive handling techniques- if required, together with documentation and legal guidance, listening and learning, recording, reporting and reviewing.                        

Our 6 Hour Foundation courses are only offered "in house", bespoke and designed for     specific workplaces.We do not run general courses that outside participants can join in. An initial visit by the lead trainer, meeting with management, will determine the content of the course.

At the booking stage, no financial commitment is made. There will need to be a discussion with the allocated lead trainer with regard to any travel, accommodation or subsistence costs. These should be agreed before the initial visit, where with senior leadership and management, course content is discussed, training venue risk assessed and advice on paperwork underpinning practice provided if appropriate.

Two Day Basic ( 12 hours)

Aimed at medium risk service settings: Special Schools, PRU's Children's Homes, Adults with Challenging Behaviour support needs, Elderly Care etc..

Advanced Modules

Advanced Modules aimed at high risk Service Settings: Special Schools, PRU's, Secure Units, Children's Homes, Elderly Care etc. These modules cover personal safety, risk reductions strategies, a range of positive handling and interventions in response to dangerous behaviour. Areas covered: Everyday objects used as weapons, transport and safe ground hold positions.

An initial visit by the lead trainer, meeting with management, will determine the content of the course. Team Teach Ltd's courses are delivered "in house" to meet specific workplace behavioural safety needs.

Intermediate Train-the-Trainer Course

This course will enable participants who achieved a full pass to lead cascade training within their employer's service settings within permitted trainer ratios.

Two trainers are required for new staff training events.

Successful participants will be certified to deliver both the 6 Hour Foundation and 12 Hour Basic Course, as a lead trainer, to employees of their employer.

This five day intensive course, with at least two team presentations to the whole group plus an individual theory test, will provide prticipants with a wide range of positive handing and interventions strategies and legal knowledge to deliver the aforementioned courses.

Applicants are required to have a valid and current Team-Teach 6 or 12 hour certificate, in order to apply for a trainer's course. Where appropriate, participants may be awarded an assist pass, should confidence or competence levels require more time and support. This will allow individuals to assist on 6 / 12 hour and refresher courses that are delivered for their employer. It is possible for an "assist" pass to be upgraded to a "full" pass, on attendance at a future trainer refresher course.

Advanced Train-the-Trainer Course

This course will enable participants to cascade training within their employer's service setting within permitted trainer ratios.

Successful participants will be licenced to delivery a range of Advanced Modules to employees of their employer.

This four day intensive course will provide participants with a wide of risk reduction strategies and accompany knowledge to delivery the aforementioned Modules.

 

Applicants are required to have a valid and current Intermediate trainer certificate, in order to apply for the Advanced trainer's course. Where appropriate, participants may be awarded an assist pass, should confidence or competence levels require more time and support.This will allow individuals to assist on advance modules and refresher courses that are delivered for their employer. It is possible for an "assist" pass to be upgraded to a "full" pass, on attendance at a future trainer refresher course.
