This five-day intensive course equips and certifies individuals to deliver both our Level One – 6 Hour and Level Two – 12 Hour Positive Behaviour Management courses. Involving at least two team presentations to the whole group, plus an individual theory test, it provides participants with a wide range of positive handling and intervention strategies, along with the legal knowledge required to confidently deliver training.
Who is this course for?
Anyone who wants to lead on and support the delivery of training in positive behaviour management strategies in their organisation, and who holds a current certificate from either our Level One – 6 Hour or Level Two – 12 Hour course.
Those who achieve a full pass will be accredited to deliver both the Level One – 6 Hour and Level Two – 12 Hour Positive Behaviour Management Courses, as a lead trainer, to employees of their single employer, within permitted trainer ratios. (A minimum of two trainers are required for staff training events for any number of participants up to 24.)
Accreditation lasts for 12 months. Reaccreditation is required within the 12-month period to ensure you’re qualified to continue to deliver training.
If the confidence or competence levels of a participant require more time and support, an ‘assist’ pass may be awarded, allowing individuals to assist on Level One – 6 Hour, Level Two – 12 Hour and refresher courses that are delivered for their employer. An ‘assist’ pass can be upgraded to a full pass by attending a future Intermediate Train-the-Trainer Reaccreditation course.
The Team Teach Experience
Team Teach is an accredited, award-winning provider of training in positive behavioural management strategies. We aim to equip everyone with the tools they need to understand behaviour and manage challenging situations, at work or in daily life, in a positive and respectful manner. Our training solutions, developed over the course of 20 years and delivered by experienced professionals, always emphasise the use of verbal and non-verbal de-escalation strategies, which should be exhausted before resorting to least-intrusive positive handling techniques. Focused on teamwork and communication, our courses foster more supportive working practices, helping people recognise the needs of the children and adults they work with, offer help where necessary, and be able to make use of support when offered.
